Heaven Ocampo- Gallegos

Heaven Ocampo-Gallegos, MPA has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Starting in 2013, they worked as a Student Professional Worker at the Port of Los Angeles, where they assisted executives in daily tasks and supervised and trained interns. In 2015, they held the role of Social Media Coordinator at Pop Ups and also worked as a Development Intern at Girls Inc. of Orange County. Additionally, they served as a Special Events Associate at MALDEF, where they coordinated national events, negotiated contracts, conducted corporate grant research, and managed various event logistics. In the same year, they also worked as a Staff Writer for the Daily Titan Newspaper, contributing to various sections and providing photographs. In 2018, they held the role of Social Events Chair at the Price Latino Student Association's Executive Board. In 2019, they became a Senior Administrative Assistant for Social Services at The Salvation Army California South Division, where they corresponded on behalf of executives, managed appointments, and assisted in presentation development. Most recently, in 2021, they joined the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, starting as a Senior Analyst and progressing to Manager and Senior Manager before becoming the Director of Strategic Partnerships.

Heaven Ocampo-Gallegos, MPA, holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and American Studies from California State University, Fullerton, earned between 2011 and 2015. Heaven furthered their education at the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy, where they obtained a Master's degree in Public Administration from 2018 to 2021. Additionally, they earned a Graduate Certificate in City and County Management from USC from 2018 to 2020. Heaven Ocampo-Gallegos also possesses various certifications in CPR/AED/First Aid, Adult Mental Health First Aid USA, Overdose Prevention and Response, Trauma Informed Care, and Working Through Challenging Behaviors.
