Marielena Villamil

Marielena Villamil is an accomplished economic consultant and business leader, currently serving as a Board of Advisors member for the Florida SBDC Network and as CEO and Principal of The Washington Economics Group, Inc., since 1993. With extensive experience in economic impact studies and consulting, Marielena has collaborated with major banks, corporations, and various industries across the US and Latin America. Additionally, Marielena holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at Floridanomics and has contributed to several boards, including the American Red Cross of Greater Miami and the Keys, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, and the United Way of Miami-Dade. Marielena's educational background includes an MA in Spanish literature from Middlebury College and a BA with double majors in English and Spanish from St. Mary's Dominican College.
