Ashley Hawkins is a Biotherapeutic Associate Scientist at Inotiv since July 2022, with prior experience as a team member on a neonatal ventilator design project at the University of Maryland, focusing on reducing barotrauma and pneumothoraxes. As an undergraduate researcher, Ashley led a project characterizing fungal tolerance to polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) involving PCR, gel electrophoresis, and gas chromatography for bioremediation solutions. Additional experiences include contributions to skeletal muscle regeneration simulations, optimization of water lifting methods at Vanderbilt University, and internships related to photocatalysis at The George Washington University. Ashley holds a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from the University of Maryland, completed in 2022, with a specialization in Biotechnology and Therapeutics Engineering.
