Cole Mietzner

Cole Mietzner, CISSP, has extensive work experience in the field of information security. Cole is currently serving as the Director of Information Security at Inotiv since July 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of vCISO at CITSAP starting from September 2022. Cole also worked as a vCISO/Consultant at TurnKey GRC from May 2022 onwards.

Before venturing into the role of a vCISO, Cole worked at UniFocus as an IT Security and Compliance Officer from October 2016 to July 2023. In this role, they were responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive organizational security program. Cole also defined security policies, controls, and standards, and conducted internal and external information security assessments.

Earlier in their career, Cole worked at Healthgrades as an SQL Test Engineer, where they developed SQL for validation and assisted in the development of data automation strategy. Cole also served as a Lead Test Engineer at Unifocus, specializing in security testing, automation, and performance testing.

Cole Mietzner, CISSP, has a diverse education history. In 2007, they began their studies at Arapahoe Community College, where they pursued an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Graphic Design. Cole completed this program in 2009.

In 2013, Cole further expanded their skill set by obtaining a certification in DBA 1: Database Administration from the O'Reilly School of Technology. This certification enhanced their knowledge in database administration.

Continuing their professional development, Cole obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in October 2019. This certification validated their expertise in information security and demonstrated their dedication to the field.
