Sean Curran

Sean Curran is an experienced professional in the heritage and education sectors, currently serving as the Head of Inclusion and Senior Inclusive Heritage Advisor at Historic England since November 2020. Curran plays a crucial role in promoting inclusive practices within the heritage sector, overseeing the Inclusion and Equality Strategy, and enhancing inclusive approaches to the listings and grants processes. Prior to this, Curran was the Community Learning Manager at the National Trust, managing a significant schools program and developing community relationships, as well as earning accolades for innovative programming. Curran's educational background includes a PhD in Museum Studies focused on LGBTQ+ narratives, a Master's degree in Museums and Galleries in Education, and a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature with Creative Writing.
