Sean Gallen has over 17 years of work experience. Sean started their career as an HR administrator at Debenhams in 2002 and worked there until 2004. Sean then moved on to Home Comforts, where they served as an Office Manager from 2005 to 2007. After that, Sean joined RCAHMS as an HR Manager, where they managed various HR activities, implemented HR projects, and provided HR consultancy services to Architecture & Design Scotland. Sean worked at RCAHMS for 7 years before joining Historic Environment Scotland as an HR Business Partner in 2014. In this role, they partnered with directors and senior staff to provide effective HR solutions and also undertook a project management role in the merger of RCAHMS and Historic Scotland. In 2018, Sean became the Head of Organisational Learning Development and Wellbeing at Historic Environment Scotland, where their main focus is developing the workforce, promoting wellbeing, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Sean Gallen obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Leadership, Organizational Development, and Managing Change from Heriot-Watt University. Sean pursued this degree from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, Sean attended the University of Stirling from 2000 to 2004, where they earned a degree in Human Resource Management with a focus on the Psychological Contract.
