Meaghan Lyons has a diverse work experience with various companies and organizations. Meaghan started their career as a Production Assistant in TV ad and music video production companies. Meaghan then worked as an Information Officer and Programming Editor for the Government of Canada. Meaghan also served as a Marketing Manager at VanRath and held marketing and communications roles at the Canadian Film Centre. Meaghan later joined Queen's University Belfast, where they worked as an Alumni Officer and Regular Giving Manager. Meaghan also worked as a Development Manager at Hillsborough Castle and Gardens for Historic Royal Palaces. Meaghan has provided their expertise as a Member of Independent Complaints Panel for Hospitality Ulster. Additionally, they worked as a Social Media Marketing Consultant for the European Parkinson's Disease Association and a Development Consultant for Cahoots NI. Currently, Meaghan work at Historic Royal Palaces as a Development Operations Manager, focusing on increasing revenue and managing development operations across their sites.

Meaghan Lyons completed their Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Film and Media Studies at Queen's University from 1998 to 2002. In 2005 to 2006, they pursued a Postgraduate Certificate with Honours in Public Relations at Humber College. Meaghan is currently studying at Queen's University Belfast, aiming to obtain a Master of Science degree in Software Development from 2020 to 2023. Additionally, they obtained a Professional Diploma in Marketing from CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing in 2021. Meaghan also holds the certification of CIM Affiliate Studying Member from the same institute, which they obtained in March 2021.
