Rhiannon Goddard has a diverse work experience in the arts and cultural sector. Rhiannon started their career as an Education Officer at Somerset House Trust in 2000. Rhiannon then worked at MLA, where they were the Lead Development Officer - Museums (South West), overseeing the Museum Accreditation Scheme and managing the Renaissance in the Regions Museum Development Fund.

In 2006, Rhiannon joined The British Museum as an Interpretation Manager, where they managed a team and worked on gallery and exhibition development. Rhiannon was involved in the re-display of the Late Medieval Gallery and played a key role in the interpretation development and implementation for notable exhibitions such as First Emperor: China's Terracotta Army and Hadrian: Empire and Conflict.

Rhiannon then transitioned to Historic Royal Palaces (HRP), where they held various roles. As the Interpretation Programmes Manager, they managed the interpretation team across five sites and was responsible for resource allocation and budget management. Rhiannon later took on the role of Interim Head of Interpretation, providing creative direction for all interior interpretation, exhibitions, and online content. During this time, they achieved record-breaking visitor figures for the Banqueting House through innovative programming. Rhiannon also served as the Palace Programme Sponsor and Assistant Head of Projects (building conservation and major projects), leading projects to enhance visitor experiences at iconic historic sites.

Aside from their work at HRP, Rhiannon also took on other roles. Rhiannon served as the Deputy Chair of AIM - Association of Independent Museums and worked as a Blogger at Thinking Heritage. These experiences allowed their to collaborate with and contribute to the wider museum and heritage community.

Rhiannon Goddard obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ancient and Medieval History from the Royal Holloway, University of London. Rhiannon pursued higher education at the Royal College of Art between 1998 and 2000, and was awarded a Master of Arts degree in the History of Design from 1450-1650.
