Jason Gart

Jason Gart has a strong background in historical research and analysis. Jason started their career as an intern at Historical Research Associates, Inc. in 1995. In 1998, they founded their own consulting firm called History International, Inc., where they served as the founder and owner. During this time, they worked on over twenty contract historical research projects.

In 2000, Gart co-founded Ask a Historian.com, Inc., an internet company, where they also served as the managing director. In 2007, they joined History Associates Incorporated as a Senior Historian, specializing in research and analysis services for corporate and government clients. Throughout their time at History Associates, they held various leadership positions, including Deputy Director of Litigation Research and Vice President and Director of Litigation Research.

Gart's expertise includes historical and factual research methods, business and institutional history, environmental history, corporate genealogy research, and slavery era disclosure and compliance research. Jason has provided customized historical research, data, and analysis to support legal matters, regulatory compliance, and public relations for clients and their counsel.

Jason Gart pursued their education by starting with a Bachelor of Science (BS), Cum Laude in History and Politics at Drexel University, from 1989 to 1994. Jason then continued their studies at Arizona State University, where they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) in History between 1994 and 1996. Building upon this, they went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Modern U.S. History, Western History, and Public/Applied History from Arizona State University, completing their doctoral studies from 1996 to 2006.
