Ian McKendry

Ian McKendry is a highly experienced professional in the field of materials development and electrochemistry, currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Materials Development at HiT Nano since June 2021. In addition, Ian is an Activate Fellow as part of the 2024 cohort, contributing to the intersection of science and entrepreneurship to tackle global challenges. Previous positions include postdoctoral research at Los Alamos National Laboratory and Drexel University, focusing on electrochemical materials and semiconductor nanoparticles. Ian held a Research Professor role at Temple University, where research emphasized layered Birnessite catalysts, and has a robust academic background with a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from Temple University and a BS in Chemistry from Saint Joseph's University.
