Suzanne Santos

With more than 25 years of experience in risk and operations, Suzanne Santos joined Hitachi Capital America in 2016. As the company’s Chief Risk Officer, she is responsible for leading the company’s North American credit and operations functions.

Prior to joining Hitachi Capital America, Suzanne held various risk positions at GE Capital. She most recently served as Managing Director of Risk Data and Analytics, where she developed risk analytics, governance, and portfolio monitoring routines. Over the span of her career at GE Capital, she held roles directing the loan originations and account management activities in a variety of product areas including project finance, equipment leasing, vendor finance, and asset-based and cash flow lending to customers ranging from small- and middle-market companies to global enterprises. She was also certified as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt during a stint at GE Real Estate.

Suzanne earned her MBA in finance and marketing at the University of Connecticut after completing a BS at Dartmouth College. Prior to her 20+ years at GE Capital, Suzanne worked as an Assistant Vice President in the Asset-based Lending Group at Shawmut Bank.
