Bernard Gilligan

Bernard Gilligan is a seasoned professional in the nuclear industry with over three decades of experience. Currently serving as Senior Director at Hitachi America, Gilligan coordinates nuclear projects between Hitachi-GE and GE-Hitachi, providing technical and licensing expertise in spent fuel management. Previously, Gilligan held various leadership roles within Hitachi Power Systems America, including Vice President of Nuclear, and managed international nuclear projects. Prior experience includes significant roles at Holtec International, focusing on nuclear product satisfaction and program management, as well as project management at Newport News Shipbuilding, where Gilligan led R&D initiatives related to spent nuclear fuel transfer. Academic qualifications include an MBA from Penn State University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University.
