Markus Heimbach

Dr. Markus Heimbach is the Managing Director of the High Voltage Products Business Unit globally within Hitachi ABB Power Grids. He joined Hitachi ABB Power Grids’ predecessor in 1997 and has worked in various roles within the Medium Voltage Products Business Unit. From 2007 to 2010, he was the Head of Medium Voltage Products Business Unit. From 2010 to 2018, he was Managing Director of the Transformer Business Unit. Prior to joining, he was an assistant professor at RWTH Aachen University in Germany. Dr. Heimbach holds a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University, Germany and MBA from the University of Hagen, Germany.
