Andrew Long has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Andrew started their career in 2003 as an Assistant Manager at Marston's PLC and worked there until 2007. Andrew then worked as an Audio Visual Technician at Multicord AV Services for a short period before joining Display Service Network as an Engineering Team Leader, where they worked from 2007 to 2015. Andrew then transitioned to the manufacturing industry and worked as a Manufacturing Specialist at Hitachi Rail from 2015 to 2019. After that, they took on the role of Learning and Development Advisor at Hitachi Rail until 2023. Currently, they are working as a Business Intelligence Implementation Lead at Hitachi Rail. Additionally, Andrew has also served as a Part-Time Lecturer at Teesside University starting in 2022.

Andrew Long attended The Open University from 2012 to 2014, where they studied technology.
