Antonio Costa

Antonio Costa has extensive experience in the rail industry, currently serving as Head of On Board Platforms at Hitachi Rail STS since January 2019, and previously holding the position of Head of On Board Software Development in Italy at Ansaldo STS since April 1999. Costa has been responsible for developing critical rail applications, including the Signalling On Board Generic Application, SCMT, and ERTMS systems, and has led multiple projects related to on-board Automatic Train Protection (ATP) across various Italian rail lines. With a solid background that includes participation in hardware/software requirements definition and development, Costa also has experience in system engineering for the SCMT Italian National Railway signalling System. Costa holds a Laurea in Ingegneria Elettronica from Università degli Studi di Genova, as well as a Perito Industriale Capotecnico degree from Civico Istituto Tecnico Industriale Galileo Galilei.
