Keith Snell has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Keith began their career with the British Army in 1986, where they served in various engineering roles and eventually became a senior engineering manager and officer. During their time in the Army, Keith also served as the Director of Operational Engineering for the East of England and the Director of Performance for the Army Triathlon Association.

In 2015, Keith joined Virgin Trains East Coast as the Head of Quality and Compliance, where they provided engineering assurance, guidance, and compliance for the business. Keith also played a key role in business improvement and cultural change.

Currently, Keith is working with Hitachi Rail, where they have held various positions since 2016. Keith has served as the Head of Product Quality, Head of UK Operations, Service and Maintenance Quality, and Head of Compliance, Standards, and Training. In their current role as the Head of Service and Maintenance Quality Control, they are responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe and reliable trains.

Keith is known for their expertise in engineering, strategic planning, and leadership. Keith has a proven track record of effectively managing large teams and projects.

Keith Snell completed an Advanced Management Achievement Course in Business Administration and Executive Training at Alliance Manchester Business School in 2015. Keith also obtained a CMI Level 8 Strategic Direction and Leadership qualification during this course. Prior to that, they attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst from 2007 to 2009, where they received a CMI Level 7 Post Graduate Diploma in Strategic Leadership and Management.
