Marcello Morchio

Marcello Morchio is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering and management, currently serving as the Research and Development Engineering Manager at Hitachi Rail, focusing on developing data-driven digital products for future public transportation. As co-Founder and President of DataScienceSeed, Marcello promotes Data Science and Machine Learning competencies through meetups and networking. Previously, Marcello held significant roles at Ericsson from 2007 to 2023, including System Manager, Scrum Master, and R&D Manager, where responsibilities encompassed designing optical products for LTE and 5G, driving innovation in Data Analytics, and leading both hardware and software teams. Marcello's entrepreneurial spirit is evident through the founding of TalenTour, aimed at fostering innovation. Early career experience includes team leadership at Marconi Corporation plc and consultancy focused on AI systems at Automa. Marcello holds an Engineer’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Università degli Studi di Genova.
