Jan Harald Solstad

Mr. Solstad joined HitecVision in 2015 from the position as co-founder and CEO of Core Energy AS (a HitecVision Fund V investment). Core Energy, an oil and gas company seeking to capture the value potential in producing NCS fields and adjacent development projects, was established in 2010. From inception Mr. Solstad has developed a company with a diversified portfolio of assets consisting of producing fields, developments and exploration acreage.

Mr. Solstad has been a well reputed strategic and financial advisor to the oil industry for more than a decade, starting his career with Conoco Norway Inc., in 1991. He worked as an Economist and Business Analyst and later as an Oil Trader in London. From Conoco Norway, he joined EY as Senior Manager of Corporate Finance for a period of four years and then went on to establish an E&P advisory boutique, SB Finans in Oslo. The company later became part of the investment bank RS Platou Market where he held the position as Head of Oil & Gas for several years, prior to co-founding Core Energy.

Mr. Solstad holds an MSc degree in Business and Economics from the University of Nordland.
