HITS Theatre
Courtney Chilton is a versatile arts educator and performer with extensive experience in musical theatre and dance. As the Artistic Director and choreographer for Bootleg Betties since April 2024, Courtney leads Texas’ favorite chorus girls. Concurrently, Courtney serves as a Musical Theatre Teacher at Houston Ballet and a Dance Teacher at Tribble School of Musical Theatre. Experience as a dancer, actor, and choreographer with J & D Entertainment began in September 2013. At HITS Theatre, Courtney directs and choreographs shows including Head Over Heels and Chicago, while also teaching advanced dance techniques. Previous roles include teaching musical theatre and dance at Kinder High School (2019-2023) and choreographing numerous musicals at St. Francis Episcopal School. The acting background includes performances with Theatre Under The Stars, and teaching at Humphrey's School of Musical Theatre. Courtney holds a degree in Musical Theatre from the University of Tulsa.

HITS Theatre
HITS Theatre is one of the leading children's performing arts organizations in Houston providing comprehensive musical theatre training for grades K-12. HITS Theatre was founded in 1980 as a 501c3 not-for-profit corporation by Carolyn Franklin. HITS is located in the historic Houston Heights and provides arts programming to over 1200 students each year. HITS provides a transformative experience for our students as they become disciplined team players, creative thinkers, and confident communicators— learning critical skills that will serve them well whether on stage or in the board room.
