Phillippa Owens

Phillippa Owens has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Phillippa started their career as a Summer Business Strategy Analyst at Kenan Foundation Asia in 2017, where they analyzed marketing strategies and prepared materials for educational workshops. In the same year, they also worked as a Strategy Intern at BCG BrightHouse.

In 2018, Phillippa joined 1789 Venture Lab, an incubator focused on student innovations. Here, they worked on RateYourDorms, a web-platform that allows students to rate and review college campus accommodations.

Phillippa continued their journey at BCG BrightHouse in 2019, where they worked as a Strategist and later as a Senior Strategist & Impact Manager. During their time at BCG BrightHouse, they contributed to developing strategies and managing the impact of various projects.

From 2016 to 2019, Phillippa served as a Website Developer at the Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise, where they were responsible for website development and IT help desk tasks.

Prior to their professional career, Phillippa was a Morehead-Cain Scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As part of this prestigious scholarship, they engaged in extensive summer enrichment programs in the sectors of Public Service, Private Enterprise, and Research.

Most recently, Phillippa holds the position of Pricing & Analytics Lead - Delivery at Hive since February 2023. Phillippa previously worked as a Senior Strategy Manager - Delivery at the same company from May 2022 to February 2023.

Phillippa Owens has pursued education in various fields throughout their academic history. Phillippa attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they focused on Business Administration and Management, with a general emphasis on the subject. Later, they enrolled at Università Bocconi in Milan, Italy, where they obtained a degree in Corporate Finance, Accounting, and Entrepreneurship. Prior to these university experiences, Phillippa attended Runshaw College, where they studied Chemistry, Biology, History, Mathematics, and Further Mathematics. Additionally, in April 2023, they obtained a certification in the form of an Emerging Leaders Fellowship from Junto.
