Maria Karpenko

Maria Karpenko is the current Head of Marketing at Hivemapper. Prior to their current position, Maria was a Marketing Specialist at Nanome Inc., a virtual reality platform for drug discovery, from January 2021 to October 2021. Maria was also the Founder & Marketing Manager at Voxel Inc., a digital content production company located in San Francisco, from January 2018 to December 2020. In addition, Maria has held the title of Marketing Manager at Remedly from July 2014 to May 2017, and Research Assistant at The Laboratory for Developmental Studies, Harvard University from January 2010 to December 2010. Maria began their career as a Storyteller Intern & CSI Reporter at Center for Social Innovation from February 2013 to April 2013.

Maria Karpenko completed a Master of Liberal Arts in Journalism at Harvard University, followed by a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Honors Biomedical Sciences at the University of Waterloo. Maria is currently pursuing a career in fiction writing and comparative literature at Stanford University.

They are on a team with Evan Moss - CTO, Stuart Trautenberg - Head of People Operations, and Nathaniel Fisher - VP of Engineering. Maria Karpenko reports to Ariel Seidman, CEO & Co-founder.
