Kayla Phillips

Kayla Phillips is a seasoned venture capital professional with extensive experience in the cryptocurrency sector. Currently serving as a Senior Venture Principal at Hivemind since March 2024, Kayla focuses on investments from pre-seed through Series B. Prior to this role, Kayla held a position as a Venture Principal at Hivemind and worked at Truffle Ventures as a Crypto VC specializing in pre-seed through Series A investments, emphasizing crypto infrastructure, tooling, and decentralized finance. Earlier experience includes a role at Alumni Ventures as a VC concentrating on pre-seed and seed funding with a crypto focus, as well as co-founding RestEasy and serving as an Entrepreneur In Residence at Columbia Build Lab. Kayla holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship, Business Analytics, and Strategy from Columbia Business School, and a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Virginia Tech.
