Balazs Besenyei

Balazs Besenyei has a diverse work experience in the venture capital and investment field. Balazs began their career as a Junior Investment Manager at Hiventures in August 2019, before being promoted to Investment Manager in June 2021. Hiventures is a prominent VC & PE firm in the CEE region and Europe, with a portfolio of over 450 startups.

Besenyei's work extends beyond Hiventures as they hold positions as a Board Member and Investor at various companies. Balazs is involved with Seyu - Together for victory!', where they serve as a Board Member and Investor starting in 2022. Balazs holds similar roles at Photon, Water MiniLab, DreamJobs, Evotrex, Complytron, and Dataxo Group, where they contribute their expertise and support.

In addition, Besenyei has participated in the Newton Venture Program as a Venture Fellow. This program focuses on training future VC investors and promoting diversity and inclusivity in the venture landscape. Besenyei was a scholarship awardee in the 3rd cohort of the program in 2022.

Besenyei's work experience also includes serving as a Board Member at Conversific - eCommerce Analytics from October 2019 to December 2020. This role allowed him to contribute their insights and knowledge to the analytics company.

Balazs Besenyei has had a comprehensive education history. Balazs pursued a master's degree in International Management from CEMS - The Global Alliance in Management Education, completing their studies between 2017 and 2019. Additionally, in 2018, they participated in a CEMS MIM Exchange Semester at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. Prior to this, from 2016 to 2019, they obtained another master's degree in Finance, specifically Corporate Finance, from Corvinus University of Budapest. Balazs began their educational journey by earning a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Debrecen, which they completed from 2011 to 2015. Furthermore, as part of their certifications, they obtained Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) from Bloomberg LP in September 2017.
