Alard Bakker

Alard Bakker is an experienced finance professional currently serving as Controller at Hivos since January 2022 and as Owner of Amor Fati coaching since February 2020, specializing in support for individuals facing challenges with eating disorders. Prior to these roles, Alard worked at Shell Trading from August 2014 to June 2019 as a Senior Finance Advisor, focusing on trading finance, and at Shell Nederland Verkoopmaatschappij B.V. from August 2006 to July 2014 in various senior finance roles, including Senior Finance Advisor for Supply and Pricing Manager for Bulk Fuels BeNeLux. Alard began a finance career in January 1999 with Finance Integrated Consultancy BV, taking on multiple interim roles involving ERP implementations across various multinational and local organizations. Education was pursued at Haagse Hogeschool Den Haag from 1988 to 1989.
