Benny Cheung

Benny Cheung is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in the field of electrical and electronics engineering. Currently employed at HK Electric since August 2018, Benny has progressed from Engineer I to Engineer II, focusing on computer hardware engineering for operational technology systems in power grid operations. Responsibilities include the development, operation, and maintenance of hardware and software, while supporting innovation projects involving IoT and AI applications. Previous roles include Application Engineer Intern at Arrow Electronics, where expertise in Wi-Fi chipsets and IoT products was gained, and Technical Assistant at MakerBay, contributing to various innovation initiatives. Benny holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from The University of Hong Kong, complemented by a strong background in robotics and product development through various internships and research assistant positions.
