Austen J. Haines

Mr. Austen J. Haines is a member of the Board of Directors of H&K Group, Inc. (H&K), one of the Mid-Atlantic Region’s largest privately owned and operated heavy civil contracting and construction materials companies. Austen is also an Estimator/Project Manager for H&K, which will celebrate a half-century of business excellence in 2018.

Austen Haines is the eldest son of John A. Haines, second-generation owner of H&K. Austen entered the corporation in 2003 as a laborer at Blooming Glen Site Contractors, Inc. and continued on working for various civil construction crews while working summers as an intern with H&K’s Engineering & Environmental Services Division. In December 2012, after graduating from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science, Energy Business and Finance, Austen then entered the corporation full-time becoming an Estimator and Project Manager at Lehigh Valley Site Contractors. Austen is an active member of third-generation ownership, he is very forward-thinking and technology savvy, constantly thinking of and developing programs and tools for H&K employees to utilize. Austen was appointed to the Board of Directors of H&K in 2017 and has since continued to position himself as a future leader of H&K.

Austen states his ongoing life and business mission is to create an elite, balanced and efficient workplace while holding family as a priority.
