Shifa A.

Shifa A. currently serves as the Managing Partner at HKM Employment Attorneys LLP in the Phoenix Office since August 2019. Previously, Shifa A. worked as a Deputy Public Defender at the Maricopa County Public Defenders Office from July 2014 to June 2019 and completed a legal internship at the Clark County Public Defender in August 2012. Early experience includes serving as a Student Clinician at the Post Conviction Relief Clinic/Justice Project from August 2011 to May 2012, a Summer Legal Intern at the American Civil Liberties Union in 2011, and an intern at Al-Tamimi & Co. Advocates and Legal Consultants in 2009. Shifa A. holds a Juris Doctor in International and Transnational Law from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, Arizona State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies from Arizona State University.
