Elyssa Bakker, EDAC, LSSYB, currently serves as a Health Fellow and Design Professional at HKS, Inc. since June 2022. Previous experience includes roles as a Graduate Student Instructor and Student Researcher at Taubman College of Architecture + Urban Planning, University of Michigan, where responsibilities involved teaching structural design concepts and creating virtual reality environments for educational purposes. As an Architecture Intern at GMB Architecture + Engineering, drafting and design support were provided for architectural teams. Elyssa contributed to public design projects and led research initiatives focused on virtual venues and augmented reality. Educational qualifications include a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s Degree in Bioengineering from Clemson University, complemented by a minor in Architecture.
