Lin Lin is a Senior Staff Data Scientist at Waymo, specializing in safety evaluation for self-driving vehicles since May 2018. Previously, Lin served as the Senior Data Scientist and Trust & Safety Data Science Team Lead at Google, focusing on issues such as account takeover and disinformation from 2016 to May 2018. Lin's earlier experience includes a role as a Senior Scientific Engineering Associate at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where data analytics supported energy efficiency standards. Additionally, Lin has researched consumer choice modeling at Northwestern University, interned at PARC developing risk models for cyber-physical systems, and contributed to projects related to driving behavior analysis at Travelers. Lin's education includes a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's in Vehicle Engineering from Tsinghua University.
