Sherry Crawley is a Senior Consultant at HL Strategy. Sherry has over 20 years of experience in Communications and Outreach, with a focus on the environment, education, and nonprofit sectors. Sherry has a proven track record in developing and executing successful communications campaigns that engage diverse audiences and achieve organizational objectives.

Sherry began their career as a Language Arts and Journalism Teacher at Rockdale County Schools, where they taught for three years. In 2001, they accepted a position as Communications Specialist at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they worked for two years. In 2004, Sherry became the Director of Education at Zoo Atlanta, where they worked for three years. In 2007, Sherry joined The Nature Conservancy, where they served as the Director of Communications and Outreach for Georgia. During their 10-year tenure at The Nature Conservancy, Sherry led communications and outreach work for Georgia, supervised and guided communications in South Carolina and other states, and supported and managed broader projects and communications for other business units as needed. Sherry also worked with state, regional and national teams to leverage successes to donors, members, partners, the media and government officials. Additionally, Sherry brought national education programs to Georgia, managed volunteer work in the state and initiated the Atlanta Urban Conservation program.

In their current role as Senior Consultant at HL Strategy, Sherry provides communications strategy and advice to clients in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.

Sherry Crawley's educational career began with their earning a Bs.Ed. in Secondary English Education from The University of Georgia.
