Gary Dickinson

Co-facilitator, Reducing Clinician Burden Project at Health Level Seven International

Gary Dickinson has an extensive background in health informatics and standards development, serving as a member of Health Level Seven International since 1989, where notable roles include Co-Chair of the Electronic Health Record Work Group and Co-Facilitator of multiple initiatives aimed at reducing clinician burden and enhancing interoperability. Furthermore, Gary has contributed to the ISO International Organization for Standardization since 1999 as a US Expert in TC215 and has led crucial projects such as the development of functional models for electronic and personal health records. In addition to roles at the American Medical Association and EHR Standards Consulting, Gary has held directorial positions at CentriHealth and UnitedHealth Group, alongside significant contributions to various health informatics standards panels and advisory groups over the years. Gary holds a degree from the University of California, Riverside.
