Michael Szmyga, PhD, has a diverse work experience in the medical and scientific field. Michael is currently the Senior Vice President of Medical & Scientific Affairs at HealthLogiX since March 2022. Michael previously held roles as the Vice President of Medical & Scientific Affairs from 2019 to 2022 and as a Senior Medical Director from 2017 to 2019 at the same company.

Prior to their current position, Michael was a Medical Director at IntraMed Educational Group, a healthcare communications agency, from 2013 to 2017. In this role, they were responsible for medical education development and strategy for clients, with expertise in various therapeutic areas such as neurology, women's health, pain management, cardiovascular, oncology, virology, and more. Michael successfully created and carried out various programs, including slide decks, advisory boards, literature analysis, and speaker training.

Earlier in their career, Michael was a Graduate Student and PhD Candidate at Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 2007 to 2013. Michael also gained research experience as an Undergraduate Researcher at Hunter College and worked as a Tutor for Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physics at the Physical Sciences Learning Center, both in 2006.

Michael Szmyga, PhD has an extensive education history in biomedical sciences. Michael pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry and Special Honors Curriculum from Hunter College, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Following this, they attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 2007 to 2009, earning a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Science. Michael further pursued their education at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where they obtained their PhD in Biomedical Sciences from 2009 to 2013. Additionally, Michael Szmyga holds a certification in Microsoft Office Excel 2000.
