Mark Houghton

Mark Houghton has extensive experience in data science and project management, currently serving as the Data Science Communications & Governance Manager at HM Revenue & Customs since May 2011. Throughout tenure at HM Revenue & Customs, Mark has held various roles, including Finance & Recruitment Manager, Planning & Dependency Manager for the Making Tax Digital Programme, and Project Finance Officer for the Process Transformation Programme. Prior to this, Mark worked at the UK Home Office as an Immigration Caseworker and at HM Revenue & Customs as a VAT Caseworker. Early career began as a Training and Development Intern at Crosby Training, following education at St Francis Xavier College from 1992 to 1999.
