Warren Erdmann serves as Chief Clinical Lab Officer at HNL Lab Medicine, bringing over 38 years of experience and extensive expertise to the team. Warren’s ability to diagnose and improve operational efficiency is foundational to accelerating the growth strategy as they expand its genetics and molecular capabilities. Warren is solution-oriented, and a great listener and collaborator.

Warren joined HNL Lab Medicine as interim VP of Lab Operations in June 2021. Bringing his knowledge in scaling laboratory infrastructure and operations. Recognized as a strategic business partner, strong leader, and effective change manager. He was appointed Chief Lab Operations Officer in Sept 2021.

Warren began his career with MetPath Labs, in 1982. He started as a facilities maintenance mechanic. MetPath later became Quest Diagnostics. Warren later assumed the responsibility for Distribution and warehouse operations.

Warren left Quest and joined Medilabs in 1996 where he became Vice President of Operations. He oversaw purchasing, logistics, client service, phlebotomy, and many other parts of lab operations. Medilabs was purchased by BioReference in April 1998, whereby he assumed the position of VP of Operations for the merged laboratory. He continued to perform all functions for the lab operations and in 2015 was named Senior VP and Chief Operating Officer for the third-largest national laboratory with 1 billion in revenues.

He was a key member of the Executive team which sustained rapid growth of 20 consecutive years with at least 20% annual compounded growth. Warren oversaw and managed all areas of the Lab operations including, Laboratory Operations, Phlebotomy, Customer service, Logistics, remote lab operations, material management, Operations Excellence, Referral testing, pre-analytic processing, and safety and facilities. At their peak, they serviced over 50,000 patients a day. The BioReference team is credited for successful growth by building an operation focused on continued improvement, beating the competition providing better service consistently for patients and customers.

Warren played a key role with due diligence and integration for 15 acquisitions. They expanded significant remote laboratory operations in California, Texas, Florida, and Maryland. Played a major role in expanding the footprint and capabilities of GeneDx. Warren established professional and personal credibility, trust, and a sense of team thought out the entire organization. Known to all employees as an engaged, approachable leader strongly committed to the highest quality patient care, and customer service. Warren most recently was assigned a position to Genesis Healthcare regarding the life safety survey for a Nursing home operation in Cape May NJ.
