Dušanka Zafirova

Dušanka Zafirova, P.E. is an accomplished civil engineer with extensive experience in transportation projects, currently serving as Team Leader and Project Engineer at HNTB since November 2019. Prior experience includes roles as a Civil Engineer at exp Global Inc. and Civil Engineer II at the Illinois Department of Transportation, where Dušanka contributed to significant projects such as ADA sidewalk compliance improvements and various roadway resurfacing efforts across several Illinois counties. Additionally, Dušanka has experience in overseeing construction projects, managing consultant studies, and facilitating interagency coordination. Dušanka holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago.
