Derrick Chacko

Derrick Chacko is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in cloud engineering and system administration. Currently serving as a DevOps Engineer at Hobby Lobby since 2018 and a Staff Cloud Engineer at Seagate Technology since January 2008, Derrick has a proven track record of creating highly available and scalable infrastructures in AWS, as well as automating application deployment using open source Puppet. Derrick's career also includes significant roles as a Senior IT Engineer, where custom automation solutions were developed, and as an IT Engineer, contributing to virtualized IBM AIX platforms while enhancing system availability. Previous positions held involved system administration responsibilities at The Hertz Corporation and cybersecurity efforts at Hertz, focusing on global reservations' Information Security. Derrick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
