Jennifer Gonzalez, AICP, PP, CFM has a diverse work experience in environmental planning and sustainability. Jennifer has held various roles including Director of Environmental Services / Chief Sustainability Officer at the City of Hoboken, where they oversaw operations, maintenance, and capital projects for parks, public property, and sanitation. Jennifer also managed sustainability efforts as co-leader of the Resiliency and Sustainability team, advancing initiatives in areas such as rainfall flooding, energy, and waste management. Prior to this, they worked as a Principal Environmental Planner at The Louis Berger Group, managing teams and preparing environmental clearance documents for infrastructure resiliency projects. Jennifer also developed resiliency plans for communities affected by Superstorm Sandy. Additionally, they have experience as an Environmental Planner at the County of Passaic, Department of Planning & Economic Development, where they provided environmental policy advice and managed projects such as the Passaic County Sustainability Master Plan Element. Jennifer also has research experience in environmental security and policy analysis.
