Kirsten Buchecker is a professional with extensive experience in food technology and project management. Currently serving at Hochschule Bremerhaven since November 2018, Kirsten holds positions including project staff for BeProf@BHV, project coordinator for the BÖLN project ReformBIO focused on sugar reduction in organic food, and scientific staff member in the BMBF project Open:MINT. Since March 2018, Kirsten has also been a lecturer in sensory science and food technology. Prior to this, from January 1996 to February 2018, Kirsten was a project manager at ttz-Bremerhaven, overseeing national and international research in food quality management and plant-based raw materials. Kirsten's career began at Nutrilo GmbH as the quality management representative and auditor. Kirsten holds a Diplom-Ingenieurin degree in food technology from Fachhochschule Fulda and has further educational qualifications from The University of Göttingen and Hochschule Bremerhaven.
