Jennifer Carpenter

Jennifer Carpenter is a highly accomplished cellist and educator with extensive experience in both performance and teaching. Currently serving as the Coordinator of Chamber Ensembles at the University of Rochester since August 2021, Jennifer also holds a tenured position as Section Cellist with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition, Jennifer is a Cello Faculty member at both Eastman Community Music School and The Hochstein School, as well as a Summer Cello and Chamber Music Faculty member at Point Counterpoint for 2023-2024. Past positions include Graduate Teaching Assistant at Eastman School of Music and Interim Lecturer in Music at Nazareth College. Jennifer's educational background includes a Doctor of Musical Arts from Eastman, a Master of Music from The Juilliard School, and a Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Arts from Oberlin College.
