Danijel Rabak

Chief Engineer at Höegh LNG

Danijel Rabak has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Danijel began their career as a Piping Engineer at DIOKI d.d., where they were responsible for the revamp and commissioning of a VCM/EDC production plant. Danijel then joined MSC Mediterranean Shipping Co. S.A. as a 4th Engineer, where they handled troubleshooting and maintenance of various equipment and power plants. After that, they worked at Shell as a 3rd Engineer on LNG vessels, specializing in membrane LNG vessels and participating in STS operations. Currently, Danijel is employed at Høegh LNG, where they began as a 3rd Engineer and currently serves as the Chief Engineer. In this role, they are responsible for the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of power plants and main propulsion systems on a DP class vessel.

Danijel Rabak earned a Master's degree in Marine Engineering from the University of Rijeka, attending from 2000 to 2006. In addition to their degree, they obtained certifications as a Chief Engineer Officer on a ship with 3000 kW or more from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Transport Croatia in October 2015. Danijel also holds a Second Engineer License on a ship with 3000 kW or more, obtained from the same institution in August 2011.
