Mario H. Gonzalez

Mario H. Gonzalez is a seasoned multimedia professional with extensive experience in photography, videography, and editing, currently serving as a Freelance Photographer, Videographer, and Editor at Newsday Media Group since September 2005. In addition to generating a variety of video and photo content for digital and print platforms, Mario has held roles as Multimedia Producer and Senior Video Editor, overseeing the production of hundreds of daily videos. An Associate Professor at Hofstra University since August 2008, Mario co-created a sports media major and produced an Emmy-nominated documentary, while also teaching various courses in videography and journalism. Previous teaching positions include adjunct professorships at St. John's University and Hofstra University, complemented by a foundational career at Cablevision and News 12, where Mario developed skills in news production and broadcast media. Mario holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the State University of New York Cortland and a Master's in Social Studies from Dowling College.
