Mary Frances (Mae) Ward, RN, MS, ANP, CCRC, is an accomplished healthcare educator and clinical researcher with extensive experience in emergency medicine. Currently serving as Associate Professor at Hofstra University's School of Medicine since 2009, Mary Frances has also held multiple leadership roles within the North Shore-LIJ Health System since 1985, including Co-Founder and Director of the Emergency Medicine Career Advancement Program and Senior Research Director. Active in numerous committees and collaborative councils, Mary Frances has significantly contributed to sepsis research and education. An advocate for clinical research, Mary Frances holds degrees from Stony Brook University, including a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Nursing, and has continuously demonstrated a commitment to advancing emergency medicine through education and research initiatives.
