Robert Costello is a SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor and Chair of the Criminal Justice Department at Nassau Community College, where leadership was provided from 2004 to 2024, overseeing degree programs in Criminal Justice, Fire Science, and Emergency Management with over 800 student majors and 30 faculty members. Additionally, Robert serves as an Adjunct Professor of Sociology at Hofstra University, teaching various undergraduate courses related to law and criminology while advancing through a competitive promotion process. Previously, Robert held the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor of Criminology at St. John's University, instructing graduate classes in Criminal Law, Juvenile Justice, and related subjects. Robert's academic credentials include a Doctor of Education from Dowling College, a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University at Albany, a Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law, and two Master’s degrees, one in Sociology and another in Criminology, also from St. John's University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Hofstra University.
