Manager, FLUPSY at Hog Island Oyster

Lucas Sawyer is the Manager of FLUPSY at Hog Island Oyster. Lucas has over 25 years of experience in the Aquarium industry. Sawyer began their career in January 1982 as an Aquarist at the Monterey Bay Aquarium where they were responsible for collecting and transporting invertebrates, fish, and elasmobranchs. Lucas also worked in Husbandry of galleries, ROV operation, Quarantine operations, Shorebird rehab, Sea Otter rehab, Native Plant Greenhouse operations, tank and display fabrication. In December 1988, Sawyer left Monterey Bay Aquarium to start their own company, FLUPSY.

Lucas Sawyer has an Associate of Arts from College of the Redwoods in Fortuna, CA, and a degree from University of California, Santa Cruz.
