James R. Maloney

James Maloney works Of Counsel for HoganWillig Attorneys at Law while concurrently serving on the Assigned Counsel Panel for Erie and Wyoming Counties and the Major Felonies Approved Panel and Elite Defender Panel to Indigent Prisoners. Mr. Maloney previously held the Assistant County Attorney role with Erie and Wyoming counties. Additionally, he has extensive trial experience practicing as a Criminal Defense litigator for over thirty years. James received his Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School of Union University.

Mr. Maloney is a transformative attorney with a diverse background in law enhanced by a wealth of experience in leadership positions in several area charity/non-profit organizations. Additionally, James is an accomplished Triathlete, having completed two Ironman’s, four Ironman 70.3s, and multiple local triathlons.
