Canan Ziylan

Canan Ziylan is a seasoned researcher and lecturer affiliated with Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences since October 2016, where responsibilities include senior research within the Care Innovation Knowledge Centre and teaching in nursing programs. Ziylan is actively involved in several organizations, including serving on the Scientific Committee for the 15th European Nutrition Conference 2027, and as a committee member for ZonMw focusing on care support for individuals with long-term care needs. Other roles include membership on the Supervisory Board of LOC Waardevolle zorg and co-founding the foundation Samen Sterk Ondernemen, aimed at fostering entrepreneurship among youth. Additionally, Ziylan owns Care for Nutrition, providing research advice on nutrition in healthcare, and holds positions with Youké and Medical Delta Living Lab. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Undernutrition Management in Older Adults and multiple degrees from Wageningen University & Research in fields related to nutrition and public health.
