Gideon Maasland

Gideon Maasland is an experienced architect and educator with a diverse background in architectural practice and consultancy. Currently, Maasland serves on the Werkveldadviescommissie for the Built Environment at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and holds multiple roles at MVRDV, including Director and Senior Project Leader. Previous experience includes significant contributions as a project architect for notable renovations and corporate projects, as well as teaching architecture, engineering, and sustainability to bachelor's students. Furthermore, Maasland has played a pivotal role in establishing the KCAP office in Beijing and has worked on various housing and sustainability projects at multiple architectural firms. Educational qualifications include advanced degrees in architecture with a focus on sustainability from the Delft University of Technology and Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, alongside foundational studies in engineering and design.
