Omar Shafqat is a Project Manager at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences since May 2023, bringing extensive experience in energy services and engineering. Previously, Omar served as a PhD Candidate at KTH Royal Institute of Technology from January 2014 to June 2023, focusing on the design of end-use energy services and engaging consumer-facing companies in collaborative workshops. Prior to that, Omar worked as a Research Engineer at KTH from December 2011 to December 2013, contributing to the Wuxi Sino-Swedish Ecocity project by developing a participatory energy KPIs model. An early experience includes an internship at Heavy Industries Taxila in 2006. Omar holds a Master's degree in Sustainable Energy from KTH and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila, along with exchange studies at Chalmers University of Technology.
