Hogle Zoo
Rick Bishop is a seasoned security professional with extensive experience spanning over two decades in various law enforcement and security roles. Currently serving as a Security Officer for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since July 2023, Rick has maintained a long-term position as a Security Officer at Hogle Zoo since March 2004. Previous experience includes roles as a Police Officer with the Unified Police of Greater Salt Lake from July 2011 to July 2023 and a Law Enforcement Officer with Midvale City from November 2007 to July 2011, as well as at the University of Utah from April 2003 to November 2007. Rick is also a current student at Brigham Young University - Idaho, holding an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Computer Hardware Technology/Technician, alongside previous education at BYU-Pathway Worldwide and Salt Lake Community College. Rick's foundational education includes a High School Diploma in General Studies from Bountiful High School, earned between 1985 and 1989.
