Sophie Surmont is a tech at Hokodo. Sophie was previously a Python developer at PeopleDoc France from September 2019 to October 2021. Sophie also taught a module of Advanced algorithms during that time. Prior to that, they were a lead software engineer and architect at Enedis from January 2016 to August 2019, where they developed a conversion tool between different electrical network information models. From September 2015 to January 2016, they were a software developer at Amundi, developing features on an asset management software in Java/JEE. From July 2014 to August 2019, they were a software engineer at Softeam Cadextan, which acquired Genigraph in 2014. From November 2013 to September 2015, they were a software developer at RTE Réseau de Transport d'Electricité. From July 2013 to November 2013, they were a software engineer at EDF. From April 2013 to June 2014, they were a research intern at Dassault Systemes.

Sophie Surmont has a Master's Degree in Engineering from EFREI Paris in Computer Science and Information Systems. Sophie also did exchange studies in Computer Science at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and at Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU/APIIT). Additionally, they have a Diploma in Computer Science from Université Paris Cité. Sophie is also certified by Coursera in Machine Learning and Discrete Optimization, and by Code School in Shaping-up-with-angular-js.
